Meet Your Guide, Priscilla
Priscilla is a master at customizing your tour to the group and you'll be able to experience the secrets of Mexico like no other. Guiding guests on tours all over the world, Priscilla is a resident of this region of Mexico and knows all of the right people and secrets to get you access that most don't have. Itinerary
(Itinerary subject to change.)
Day 1:
We'll pick you up at the airport and transport to our jungle lodge outside of Playa del Carmen. Nestled in a serene and picturesque setting, experience the warmth and charm of this family-owned jungle lodge who have been welcoming guests for almost a decade. It is a magical place surrounded by incredible wildlife that truly makes you feel like you are one with nature.
Day 2:
Today we have the caving adventure of a lifetime! We will have a private tour through an underground river system and learn about the natural history and ecology of the region. Priscilla has been exploring these caves for years and you'll be VIP guests enjoying access to some parts of the caves that are closed to the general public. Everything you need for this experience will be provided (wetsuit, water shoes, helmet, head light, etc.) After our tour, we will enjoy a buffet lunch before returning to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon and group dinner.
Day 3:
We have an early start today as we drive out to one of the Wonders of the World, Chichén Itzá. ("Chee-chen EEtza") We'll enjoy an VIP guided tour with a local and real Mayan guide with a master's degree in archeology. You'll visit us to parts of the site most guests don't see and hear insights most don't learn on regular tours.
After a hot day at Chichén Itzá, we'll head over to a locally owned jungle oasis where our Mayan host family will share a Mayan culinary experience with us. In the remote jungle, you'll enjoy a splash in their sparkling blue swimming pool and learn about Mayan food, history, traditions, and language while making ancient Mayan píib in an oven in the ground. At the end of the night after dinner and cultural entertainment, we will start making our way back to the lodge.
Day 4:
After breakfast, we will visit a beautiful locally owned cenote for a swim, and afterwards we hit the town of Tulum! Spend the rest of the day shopping or exploring the beautiful Caribbean white sand beach. We depart Tulum at sunset and return to the lodge where Chef Sebastian will be waiting for us for our final dinner, in celebration of our last evening together.
Day 5:
Enjoy our last breakfast together as our adventure comes to an end. Your transportation to Cancun airport will be taken care of.
